AFA
is deeply committed to year-round stewardship in Houston’s schools
and with other arts education/support organizations throughout the year.
AFA Founding Director J. Todd Frazier and AFA Executive Director Michael
Remson donate significant time to schools and arts organizations throughout
the year, thereby building AFA’s strategic partnerships throughout
the region. These strategic partnerships, featuring a diverse cross-section
of organizations and businesses, result in programs and collaborations
that benefit the students of AFA at both campuses. AFA is proud to recognize
these partnerships and looks forward to continued collaboration.

American
Voices
In
August of 2005, AFA was delighted to be part of a unique collaboration
with the American
Voices Foundation.
Three
AFA jazz alumni were able to take part in a unique experience where
they served as faculty assistants and performers at the American Voices
Jazz Festival in Taiwan, China. AFA interns taught, performed and served
as musical ambassadors for the city of Houston and AFA.
Special
thanks to all those who helped make this trip possible, with special
mention of The Frazier Fund for their assistance.
AFA
looks forward to continued collaborations with the American Voices Foundation.
